The Jingle Bell Run–A Fun 5K for a Great Cause

I’ve been really fortunate to have the opportunity to work closely with our local branch of the Arthritis Foundation. They provided a wonderful gift to Monkey after his diagnosis and I’ve come to call some of the ladies in the office my friends.

Seeing how the Arthritis Foundation is a non-profit organization they rely on donations to fund all the research and outreach they do. This year our family participated in the Spring Walk where our Monkey was even honored. It was so much fun and such a huge success! The other large public fundraising event that they do is the Jingle Bell Run.

The Jingle Bell Run is a 5K run with a wonderful and fun holiday theme. They even do an adorable shorter run for kiddos called the Tinsel Trot…cute, right?! They also have a costume contest. Not just for people either! They award a prize for the best dressed pup!

This year’s Pittsburgh Jingle Bell Run will be held on December 7th at 10 am. If you are a runner this is a wonderful way to squeeze in a 5k! If you are interested in running please consider joining team, Logan’s Heroes, and support another sweet boy with JA. Logan has been blessed to be in remission for a little over a year now. Knowing this gives me so much optimism for our Monkey. To see Logan doing so well in school and sports makes my heart so very happy and truly gives me hope for Monkey’s future. You can join Logan’s team here (click on the red button on the upper right side). Not a runner but want to help out a great cause? You can also make a donation on behalf of Logan’s team here (click on the blue button on the upper right side). Just look at this face…you can’t say no to that!

So if you’re looking for something to keep your body in tune this Winter the Jingle Bell Run is the perfect fit! Join the Arthritis Foundation along with hundreds of others as they run to raise awareness for this disease and work to get that much closer to a cure!
