Circus Fun for ALL Ages!

Last night we had the best family night out! We got to go see The Greatest Show on Earth! Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents DRAGONS!

We have all been so excited to see this show. When I say all I truly do mean all…even Ed and I couldn’t wait! Before the show we headed to our favorite local joint for some pre-show food. The Red Caboose never disappoints and we always leave with overfull bellies.

After we stuffed our faces we were on our way! The boys were so excited!

Then of course we lost two to the land of slumber.

We arrived at Consol Energy Center a little early so there was waiting involved…never a great thing for three kids. What did we do to pass some time? Take some pictures of course!

Clearly Zim takes after his daddy. ;)

Something super cool about this show was that they open the floor an hour prior to the actual circus starts. You can go down right where they perform and try on some of their costumes, see their props and participate in some fun with the clowns. This by far was one of the highlights of our night. The boys had the BIGGEST smiles on their faces as they watched all the fun going on around them. They loved interacting with the clowns and seeing some of the acts up close and personal. I have never seen Zim so happy. He’s a performer at heart and you could tell by just watching him that he was so happy and in his element. Does a momma heart good! Just look at the fun we had at the preshow….

He’s a natural!

Juggling around the boys.

The clowns showing Bubba how to balance on your chin.

Just look at that face!

After all the fun at the preshow we found our seats and waited for the show to start. From start to finish it was the most amazing show I’ve ever seen. Each one of us were ooooohing and ahhhhhhing at all of the acts. We gasped as we watched a motorcycle hover almost over our heads on a wire, we watched in awe as performers did amazing acrobatics while on horseback, we laughed as the clowns mimicked the performances we just saw, and we sat stunned as we watched eight motorcyclists ride only inches apart as they rode in circles in a steel dome. There was non stop fun and excitement!

I could write detailed descriptions of all of the acts but these are things you definitely want to see in person! The circus will be in Pittsburgh through Sunday and tickets are still available! Trust me when I say you do not need to have kids to go see this show. Anyone with a heart and love for being entertained will thoroughly enjoy this show! Not in the Pittsburgh area? Well, that’s ok! The show will be traveling from city to city sharing the joy! You can check here to see if they will be in a city near you. You simply MUST go see this show…truly one not to be missed! It will put you on the edge of your seat and leave you with memories in your heart that will last forever.
